RideCast ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what the RideCast app collects and why.Information We CollectThe RideCast app does not require an account and does not ask you to log in. We collect only what's needed to provide forecasts and notifications:The location you choose — the city or route you select in the app. RideCast does not collect precise GPS location. Your selection is used only to fetch relevant weather forecasts.
Device notification token — a technical identifier used to deliver your daily ride notifications.
Your settings — notification times, route details, and rider preferences.
Forecast feedback — if you rate whether a forecast was accurate, that rating is sent to us to improve the service. It is not linked to your identity.
Subscription status — if you purchase Commuter Mode, your subscription state is managed by Apple and RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment details.
Email address — only if you contact us for support or sign up for updates on our website.Your personal ride log (the days you rode) is stored on your device, not on our servers.How We Use Your InformationWe use this information to:
- Deliver ride scores and weather-based insights for the location you choose
- Send the daily ride notifications you've enabled
- Provide and improve the RideCast service
